Phat Fiber!!

I gots me some phat! It actually came April 27th or 28th but I was also sicker than sick. I thought I was catching a spring cold and a week later after being in some much pain that swallowing made me want to cry for a week I finally went to the ER and got me some fabulous drugs to deal with the fabulous case of Strep throat that I had grown.
I knew it was Strep too...bad me.

On to the good things!! So I open up my box and find this cute little fabric envelope with business cards from some of the contributors. Said cute little envelope is now holding odds and ends in my knitting basket in the front room. And the tissue paper was this fantastic stuff with herbs and stuff on it! Now bear in mind I was sick and like the idiot that I am I didn't keep track of where everything came from...if something on here is yours let me know and I'll post a link.

I got 4 stitch markers, a big green stone that looks like it could go on size 11 needles, a teeny little green cut glass bead one and a teeny blue glass bead one as well as a pink glass one with 2 different sizes of rings on it! There's also a cute little magnet from Greenwood Fibers.

Lots of different yarns to try...Knit it Up's English Garden (if this was available as a sock yarn I would have some-But I got other fabulous things from her so it's okay), 1000 petals' Allure Lace in Tadpole, Crazy for dyeing's SlenderSock in Rainforest (I'm in love with those 2 as well...did I mention Green is my favourite colour?)

Oriri Draco Design sent some of their Lil'Squish sock yarn...I had to buy some. It was so nice. a teeny little samle of 100% pure silk from Fiber Friendzy and a cutey little piece of mint mojito from Platformnine Designs.

Northern Bay Handspun sent a Milk Fiber/Alpaca/Bamboo/Merino blend that I hearts soooo much...I pet it a lot...if anyone has a pattern for a nice little choker necklace that I could make with this let me know! the little blueish skein is from WeLoveThor and that twist of Green is from chickeninthewoods...which cracks me up every time.

That beautiful wine coloured yarn is from Northern Lights Fiber Co. Me wants more!! the cream coloured stuff is from jags Funky fibers...it's recycled from something...but I don't know what the fiber is...maybe a cotton blend? And Sneaky Pig donated the green/blue/brown variegated...but I lost the card that came with it so I have no idea what kind of fiber it is...

And last but not least was some fabulous bamboo #7's the were handpainted with barbed wire and a little skull&crossbones...they are awesome. I love them! And the first thing I did with them was make a cat toy out of the yarn from Giffordables. It's the Wonton from knitty. I made an eggroll for my mothers dog with a squeaky instead of the nippers in it.
I have so much catching up to do...including some serious working out and painting...being sick sucks...
Next adventure...painting the townhouse in Calgary...
